Investigator

I'm a Mum, a wife and a business woman who runs a bed and breakfast in Thames. I have had a life-long interest in ghosts and the paranormal. Even as a primary school aged child I would hold seances where I would make a crude handwritten ouija board and invite my friends to join in "talking to ghosts". By the time I was at intermediate school I had an insatiable interest in anything paranormal and would scour libraries for any book I could find on any topic that was remotely associated with the paranormal. My college years saw me experimenting with recording spirits and delving into parapsychology. I was fascinated by it all and would spend hours, days, weeks and months studying and learning anything I could which may help me understand about the supernatural. Over the years my fascination turned into a passion. From reading and experimenting I started investigating in my late teens and loved nothing more than to sit in a cemetery or haunted home and attempt to elicit some sort of response from any spirits which may have been present. The advent of the pc meant that I could see and hear what other investigators were doing and I spent many hours listening to others evps and watching the many ghostcams from around the world which were set up so viewers could watch live in an attempt to capture ghost footage. It was an absolute revelation to me when I discovered that there were chat groups based in New Zealand and around the world where I could talk to people who had the same passion that I did. It opened up a whole new avenue of thought for me and I loved nothing more than to chat about the paranormal with people who did not think I was "weird". A small group of us who were based in Auckland banded together to do a few investigations and we were lucky enough to get some great investigation venues including the notorious Building 1 at Unitech in Pt Chevalier and the Henderson Police Station. From there I became a founding member of the Haunted Auckland team and was an investigator with them for over ten years. I then moved on to Haunted New Zealand where I was for around three years before finally joining Ian Quigley at Paranormal Researchers. I've investigated hundreds of homes and buildings around the world and enjoy supporting people to help them to understand what is happening and to help them to enjoy their homes and buildings again. I have a special interest in cases involving children as I have worked with young children for most of my working life. As a team Paranormal Researchers are focused, empathetic and sympathetic and are serious about investigating using scientific method to find answers.
