Ian Quigley was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to New Zealand in 2003 with his wife and now living in Auckland with their 2 children. Bmx and martial arts being a lifelong activity, he moved on an interest in the Paranormal, beginning research in 2013. Joining one of the other teams in New Zealand he got together with other local investigators and
co-established Paranormal Researchers. Ian has enjoyed a long career in the film and TV industry, now running his business from Auckland. Working with video equipment his whole life, he has developed the skill of problem solving and tracing the path of a situation useful for investigating and debunking. Ian has knowledge of sound and audio mixing so filtering and enhancing inaudible EVPs is a new and interesting area to him. He believes the way to communicate is usually to sit and listen or have an irrelevant conversation that spirits can talk behind.
Ian’s main strengths for investigations are analysing the environment, setting up tools to encourage communication and examining before eliminating claims. He also has an advanced knowledge of visual effects and can reproduce and debunk fake evidence video. He also keeps up to date and connected to the paranormal scene in Ireland
